Seagate harddrive making faint noise and not been recognised

I bought my hard drive last year for my PlayStation 4 and today when I plugged it in it worked fine but then started to make a faint beeping noise, to see if it would stop I plugged it out but now there’s no light when I plug it in and there’s still the faint beeping noise, I don’t feel any vibration when holding it when plugged in so nothing is moving on the inside.
This hard drive is FULL of PS4 games and really don’t want to go through a few of days downloading everything back into my system.
Hope someone can help!

While creating this post a message came up on my PlayStation stating it does not support the device.

  1. I am assuming you want someone to help you download everything back into your system on the new HDD you need to buy? An alternative is to take the HDD to a HDD recovery expert but that can be pricey and you still need a new HDD.

  3. When you plug it in and you hear a noise and their is no movement vibration it's pretty certain it's had the sword, so yes I am.
