Ryzen build suggestion

Planning to get ryzen 5 1600x asus b350 f gaming mobo and adata 16gb 3000mhz ram. Is it good for gaming and future proof? Already have gtx 1070. Thanks in advance

  1. Nothing is future proof. However, for the price range, Ryzen 1600 is a good choice. I will recommend 1600 over 1600x since you picked a good motherboard and should be able to overclock 1600 to 3.8GHz with stock cooler. 1600x will require a cooler. Spend a couple more to get G.Skill 3200 if you can, more likely to run 3000+ brand with Samsung b-die chips. Make sure it is dual channel. The combo should get you ~100+ in most games for 1080p.

  3. Compatibility USB about motherboard :)
    1600 can handle 1070 pretty well. Ideally is I7-8700k or I5-8600k if you can afford. They can get better FPS than 1600.
