External HDD Cyclic Redundancy Error

So I have this hard drive that shows up as unallocated and not initialized, it wont let me initialize it, can't run chkdsk, i can format it on my macbook but it always ends saying it cant mount it. any ideas? I'm going to break this thing soon. ty321

    Cyclic Redundancy Error means the hard drive has failed - - - would have thought you'd have realised that with all the hassle it's been giving you - - - bin it.
