GPU not detected, Code 12 GPU error- not enough resources,

This is a very weird problem and I'm worried my card might be dead so I appreciate all the help I can get.

I'm running a dual monitor setup- one mini DP to my main monitor and one VGA from integrated graphics (motherboard) to my second monitor.

I have changed absolutely nothing in the past day but today the main monitor wasn't picking up a signal so I checked device manager and my GPU also wasn't detected.

I have tried everything from using DDU, switching power cables, replacing the CMOS battery, taking apart the GPU to clean the connectors and switching the ports as well as changing BIOS settings.

The weird thing is the GPU is detected if I wipe my drivers and restart, but as soon as I install AMD Crimson and restart the GPU doesn't show up. I can also use the DP port on my card as long as I don't install the drivers...

The fans on the GPU are running but it just isn't detected.

When the GPU didn't show up I scanned for new devices in Device Manager and it showed up with a warning sign next to it- on the properties page it gave the error code-

"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

Windows support page says this means "Two devices have been assigned the same I/O ports, the same interrupt, or the same DMA channel (either by the BIOS, the operating system, or a combination of the two)."

So I guess this narrows it down to a BIOS or PSU issue then? Any suggestions?

  2. Hi,

I am not sure but i think problem is something like High Audio ... in device manager that installs with Graph Card. It takes resources for another card.
That is why we have working cards 1,3 and 5 and non working cards 2,4 and 6.

When we installing driver for GPU we must install only DRIVER and nothing else.If we change places for GPU or similar situation Windows automatically installs new DRIVERS and also drivers for High Audio... and 2,4 and 6 will not work

After have installed all drivers for motherboard and before plugged in GPU
