HDMI/onboard audio conflict

HDMI/onboard audio conflict

I am running an AMD RX580 through a HDMI>VGA adapter to my VGA monitor
I wish for the sound to come out of the MSI b350 mobo but cannot get it to work. Onboard HD audio is enabled in BIOS, Realtek speakers are set to my default device and when I test i get the audio going up and down. Realtek also detects that the device is plugged in. I have tried disabling AMD high definition audio device in devmgr but still get no onboard sound. The headphones have been tested and work any help ? thanks

  1. Where do you intend for the audio to come out of?

Headphones work, so that's fine..... are you trying to attach speakers or something?
