No display on gtx 1050

my pc spcs:
hp elite 8200 mt
i5 2320 3.0ghz
8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram
hp 320w psu
zotac gtx 1050 oc
bios version:2.15
windows 10
I have an old vg monitor which i am trying to connect to gtx 1050 with a hdmi to vga active converter,the gpu fans are spinning but no display at all,i have seen other people using the same pc with same gpu working perfectly..i dont know if i have to update my bios or change a setting in bios...please help me!!

    thanks for replying..but i just removed my gpu from the black pcie x16 slot and inserted in the white x16 slot which had been downgraded to x4,it just booted up and everything went fine..i hope that everything would be alright that this slot was not meant to be for modern 75w gpu
