Gigabyte ultra durable 4 issues

I have a gigabyte ultra durable 4 mb that has an issue. The issue is that the graphics card seems to be having issues. It was working a week ago in full screen(monitor shows dvi2 even though it's hdmi) and it's stuck in the 1024x768 resolution. Even the gigabyte splash screen is in that resolution even though it used to be widescreen. It says there are no installed graphics drivers but why would that affect the splash screen and bios. Please help me fix.

  1. What is the video card you are using? You need to download proper drivers for that card. At the moment it is using basic video drivers provided by Windows, so it's stuck at that low resolution.

  2. The video card drivers cannot be downloaded and now Windows 10 won't install because of missing media drivers. Makes me browse for drivers that I cannot get access to and now no Windows replacement.

What version of Windows are you using? Windows 8 was the last version of Windows to support this card.

  5. I've run Windows 8, Windows 10. The Windows 10 installation media won't even install win 10 because it's asking for drivers that it doesn't have. It worked fine under Ubuntu. Windows 10 was installed. Problem solved so I figured it was a software issue, so I install my favored Windows 8. Goes back to basic drivers, I try to install Windows 10 again as it was working, and now the CD won't install it cause there are missing drivers.... This computer was completely functional a week ago

Can't you install your favored Windows 8 with basic drivers, then go to "Device Manager > Display adapters" and update your Video card drivers from there?

  7. No every time I try that, it says you already have the updated version. Not to be difficult. This problem is becoming troublesome.

  8. the only option is to manually install windows 8 drivers on windows 10. Download latest drivers available, run the executable to extract them, keep in mind where it was extracted (usually C:\AMD\) go to device manager click update then click "Browse for drivers" option then navigate where the driver where extracted and choose that folder, then click next, next again and then pick your videocard from the list that will appear, if does not appear uncheck "show only compatible devices" then it shoudl appear. Good Luck.
