NEW GAMING COMPUTER(NEED HELP) Plz

Hey so I'm thinking of upgrading my prebuilt Desktop to make it into a gaming pc... My model is a HP 500-130 cx normally only found in China. Off the top of my head I have an i3 4130, 4gb ddr3 ram, Memphis s mobo and I added myself a gtx 1050ti from MSI (Gaming X 4GB). Im trying to make my budget as low as possible but still get good performance and FPS in games, right now I have the Orange box, Rainbow six siege, Team fortress 2, GTA V and Just cause 3. I'm thinking of upgrading my ram but I don't know what you guys would suggest. My thoughts right now are a 8x2gb Corsair Pro 2(1/4)00mhz(can't remember) cl11 or 1600mhz(im pretty sure) cl10
Plz share Ur thoughts
Ps. My steam wasn't working well and so I deleted it and reinstalled it but when I Lauch the installer then it says it needs a internet connection, even tho I already have one and it's working.

More about gaming computer plz
  1. 16GB is nice, but imho 8GB will be enough for now.
you would be better finding used i5 or better i7 of 4th gen and swapping the i3.

  2. Ok thx, but I would need to get a new mobo to get another core as mine is already quite good compared to the ones I can have the only other ones are only 0.1ghz fast

  3. there is no need for new MB.
i3-4130 is a dual core processor with hyper threading
i5-4xxx is a quad core processor
i7-4xxx is a quad core processor with hyper threading
AAA modern games rely on more than two cores. so the GHz is important, but core count is even more important.

  5. the processor choice depends on your budget and availability of the parts that you can get.
pick any one from that list that does not end with a letter with a base clock above 3GHz like i5-4460 according to your budget - the higher the base clock is better.

As for the ram, the speed is less important - the board support up to 1600MHz
if currently there is one stick, of ram, just check its speed and latency and by same 4 or 8 GB.
if there are two, get a single 8GB.
you can definitely make it slightly above 100$ total

So should I get new processor?
Also the ram is from hp so can't get the same one, and it's 2 sticks. Should I get 1 or 2 sticks? 1x8 or 2x4?
Also what do u mean by the letter thing? Can u explain?
    Thx in advance

  7. IMO, i5 processor would be great match for your 1050Ti but not must. By letter i meant that there are processor models like i7-4770K or i7-4770S or i7-4770T that the model ends with a letter - not recommending.
The answer to the question what you should upgrade in this computer, depends on how long you want to keep it.
to make this machine usable for gaming, you need at least 8GB of RAM (DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600), 16GB would be excellent.
don't buy expensive RAM, a simple like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-SK-HYNIX-8GB-2Rx4-PC3L-12800R-11-12-E2-RAM/263368429560 will work perfectly fine.
with i5 the games will run more fluid - less freezes/stuttering.
you can learn what CPUs and what RAM is compatible with your machine here in CPU and Memory Upgrade sections:
