Solved

I think I might be able to push it little bit more, I surely hope so!

CPU: Core i7 4790K OC'ed at 4.8
Multiplier: 48
Voltage: 1.355
Ram: 16GB 1866 G.Skill
PSU: 750W
MB: Gigabyte Z97-X Gaming 5%
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i *edited, forgot to mention
Stable at IETU and Aida64 with 78° at max temps.
I have not messes with the clock rate yet, but I am thinking of doing it

So far I have been able to push it to 4.8 GHz with 1.355 Volts and getting around 78° at highest temps, but I would like to give it a push so it can be closer to 5.0, so far I haven't had any luck making it stable at 4.9, every time I try to push it I am having to get over 1.4 volts core, and it always crashes, so my questions is if I have reached its limit? If not, what would be the max voltage I can achieve without killing the CPU?

More about push bit surely hope
  1. That voltage is actually SO HIGH, damm you are destroying your cpu lifespan.... Well dont take it at bad probably it will last only 10 years xD. But at this point is better let it at that point, if you cant go farer without pushing another 0.010 of V i will not try it in any escenario

I recently upgraded to this CPU, is not even 1 month old however is barely reaching 78° degrees when stressing it, and I might also be able to lower the V Core a little bit, I am worried when you say that I am also shortening its life span but, how come others have been overclocking this same chip with higher voltages, how come you say 1.355 is so high?

Calm down about life span, is not noticiable at all, you will upgrade it before the damage will even be noticiable. temps are ok, And about voltages, yeah, there are people that pushes sooo hard. That cause true damage do cpu and make some cores not work properly, but that happens in long-term, 4 years usually. Just let it and dont go farer please.
