Is this desktop deal good for the money?

I'm shopping for my father in law and he needs a simple desktop PC for web surfing and streaming videos. Budget ($300- $350 and ease of maintenance (new only) are the primary requirements.
I found this desktop from Micro Center
Acer Aspire AXC-705-UR55 Desktop Computer; Intel Core i3-4160 Processor 3.6GHz; Microsoft Windows 10; 6GB DDR3 RAM; 1TB 7,200RPM Hard Drive

What do you guys think?

  1. It is no good. For your budget, get this:

    And drop in

Total 360. If you need to cut that 10, try to find similar refurbished pc with dell 3rd gen I5 and 8gb ram. Don't change the gpu :)

  3. Every component is better than the 300ish prebuilt.

  4. I buy nothing but refurbs for my work, never had a single problem. Frankly only the hard drive and maybe the PSU really wear out.
