How long can I expect this old mechanical hard drive to last?

I have a Seagate 80GB HDD(7200rpm) which has the number 26/11/2005 written on it using a marker. My brother bought it for his first PC build(I think, I was pretty young back then).

This drive has been mishandled, improperly stored, and MOD EDIT: language with in all ways possible but it still works. I've been using this as my primary drive(Yes, windows on it) after my other drives started getting issues. How long can I expect this to last before I finally have to fork out cash for another HDD.

Now I just want to see how long this thing will last. It will be its 12th anniversary this 26th. Fingers crossed!

I have experienced no symptoms of mechanical failure yet. Its been ON and OFF use as all the higher capacity drives failed and I returned to this till I bought another. And considering my PC is always on, it wouldn't be a stretch to say this drive has ran continuously for at least 5 years..

How much longer do you think it will last? Give me your best guesses!

It will probably live twice that. There are PCs from well over 20 years ago still working to this day. When built right they are usually going to be obsolete before they die. State offices in many states will donate their old PCs. Some are already 10 years old when they finally are set out to pasture with a school or a 501c3 agency.
