Need advice about buying a new GPU or other components.

I have a I7 2600 (non K!) and was wondering if its worth upgrading my GTX 960 2gb to a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G.

RAM 8GB with 1.6Ghz
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P

Should I upgrade my CPU + MOBO + RAM first or what do you guys suggest?

I read a few threads here but they are all talking about the I72600K which can be overclocked.. mine cant.

  1. Well yes you should upgrade the CPU and MB 1st and there are chances that the new GTX 1080 will not work in your OLD board Due To lack of UEFI Bios

it comes in the New System only starting from 3 Rd Gen of I Series CPU and its on the Manufacturer website in specifications and in bios too its written even when you install or select the boot device there is another option to boot from UEFI
