Unable to use harddisk (not recognizing)

My HDD is not recognizing in windows.It shows Local Disk (F:) but tells to format it before using it. Disk Management tool freezes when hdd is connected and stops responding. Chkdsk shows some file record segments as unreadable.



In Ubuntu it shows the HDD name but unable to mount.
