More about installing pci wireless card
  1. The 16x PCIe slot can be used with the 1x PCIe card.

  2. Those are PCI slots between the PCI-express slots. There are PCI wireless cards to do what you want.

You can fit the x1 card into x1, x4, x8, or x16 slots, but it seems a waste of bandwidth IMO. H87 won't boot from a NVME ssd, but it would be a fast x4 storage drive with an adapter to m.2 or one of the intel 750 ssd.

  4. I would use the PCIe card since it creates less overhead in drivers.

  5. So I just want to clarify you said that the pci-e cars will work with my motherboard, so I wanted to make sure that is still correct it's just I dont want to no but it and have it not work, also what brand of pci-e wireless card brand do you recommend as the one I asked about earlier is too expensive? I look forward to hearing from you thanks Gabe.

  6. Yes, you can buy the ASUS you linked and install it in the bottom most slot x4 electrical x16 physical. Save the top slot closest to the CPU for a graphics card x16 electrical. Empty lanes will just remain unused. x4 slot with x1 card is fine. x16 slot with x1 card will also work.
