  1. Upgrade to DDR4 supporting motherboard will also require you to get a new CPU. Are you up to that too?

If your main concern is to get motherboard supporting more than 16GB of ram, then this would do it:
    https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B85M-DASH-rev-11#ov
(you can reuse your current cpu with this board)

It says it supports ddr3, does that mean it doesnt support ddr4 or that it does.

Your current cpu supports ddr3 only (memory controller is built into cpu).
So if you want to reuse your current cpu, then no DDR4 for you. :)

I know that but the motherboards website says ddr3

  6. DDR3 and DDR4 have different connectors. You can't use DDR4 on motherboard, that supports only DDR3.

Speed man, i want all the speed.

Maybe i wont upgrade then, but i will either get just more ram or an SSD

will an ssd make me exit games faster, like if im trying to quit GTA V will it close faster with an SSD

  10. DDR4 will not give that much of a difference over DDR3.
But your system might benefit, if you upgraded ram from 8GB to 16GB.

SSD will give faster loading times. But impact on closing apps - not so much.
