Chassis Intrude: P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3

Hey guys,

I started getting the Chassis Intrude error on startup on my ~4-5 yr old computer. I've opened my case up and checked my wiring, but everything looks fine.

I'd like to disable the alert, but I don't see the option in my BIOS and don't know / can't find where the jumpers are. The feature is not listed in the manual either:

I've read there might also be a switch on my actual case to trip the error? I have a Corsair 650D.

Does anyone have a clue on what I can do? There's a lot of advice out there for other motherboards, but without knowing where the BIOS setting / jumper is on my board, I'm not sure what to do.

  1. I don't think that the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 motherboard even has a chassis intrusion switch header from what I remember from having owned one several years ago. No header means no need for the setting in the UEFI Setup.

Make sure you're using the latest BIOS version (i.e. Version 3802) for that specific motherboard model.
