Monitor losing signal

My monitor has flickering green dots on the screen and sometimes goes black saying "no signal". This usually happens after about 1 hour of gaming. I have an Acer G3-710 which is almost 2 years old.
Intel Core i5-6400 2.7Ghz
8GB
1TB
AMD Radeon R9 360 2GB
Windows 10

Thanks for the help in advance!

  1. Sounds like a dying GPU. I'm guess those dots look a bit like this https://i.stack.imgur.com/f1PmU.jpg not much you can do about a dying GPU but keep it cool if you are not or send it back if you have a warranty which in guessing you don't considering the old GPU. Soz dude this stuff happens guess you get to buy a new GPU though! I would consider any 1060 except the zotac mini.

  2. The dots are reasonably similar although they seem to go along the outlines of things on the screen rather than just all over the screen.

Is there any way to tell if a graphics card will fit into my case and be compatible with my motherboard? I have heard that my computer doesn't have great upgrade potential.

    Thanks!
