motherboard doesn't have a 20-24pin connector

i have Hp motherboard that does not have a 20 or 24 pin connector but has a 6 or 8 pin connector (can't remember) i was thinking if i could put my gpu in it and have another psu to power up only the gpu while the other psu powers the other components since it i only 350w

specs:
i5-4570
8gb ram
small 60mm fan
amd asus strix 3gb directcu-max power consumption is 300w i think

so the main question is can i put my gpu on a mobo that doesn't have a 20-24pin connector if someone could tell me i would be really grateful

More about motherboard 24pin connector
  1. I would not really recommend it, HP and other OEM builders like to use proprietary hardware to keep you from upgrading.
