Right speaker disconnected from motherboard

I was taking apart my Macbook Pro to replace the keyboard (the new one is now installed), and I accidentally ripped off the entire connector for the right speaker.

I tested the sound, and sure enough...only the left side works. I can live without it, but I was just wondering if there was some sort of way I could DIY solder the connector back on the pads; perhaps with a heat gun?

  1. First, a soldering iron is for solder, and a heat gun I believe is for plastic.

If it's metal, then yes solder but you should learn and PRACTICE quite a bit so you know how to do this properly. There are solder guides online.

Not sure what type of solder gun you need either as I can't quite tell what needs to be done from the picture.
