is my new gpu and old board compatible

my board is a h61m-p20 (g3) msi and my new gpu is a evga 1050 ti, im unable to install drivers, i get an error saying there is no gpu conneted, also when u connect the gpu i get a black screen and i get no display no even byos, just a top left letter and a right bottom letters as well, also the keyboard let is lit. what can it be?

  2. Can you unplug the gpu and boot with MB only? Can you check what version of BIOS it has?

    Have you change the settings in the motherboard BIOS to use the 1050ti for your graphics ? You want to set the display default to PEG so your system isnt trying to use the graphics built into your CPU instead of the 1050ti when you boot up...
