FX-8350 Motherboard Recommendation

After a previous, costly issue with the infamous FX-9590 I decided to go with FX-8350 since it was extremely recommended. But I'm trying to avoid my previous mistake so I decided to ask the experts in the community what they believe would be the best, but not too expensive, motherboard for the FX-8350. Thank you!

More about 8350 motherboard recommendation
  1. "Best" and "Not too expensive" are relative terms. Plus, they are getting scarce now. And because of that, their prices are climbing for new ones. I had an Asrock 990FX Extreme6 ATX board for my last FX-8350. Not the best or most expensive, but nice. Managed a 4.7GHz OC with little more than raising the multi and a bump in vcore.

    That's another good AM3+ board.

Asus is as reliable as they come. While the FX-8350 does not require a certain chipset, it performs best with the 990fx.

Generally. But locate the board you have in mind, and then go to the manufacturer's website for that board. It will have the CPU support list you can use to verify. I can't remember if all 970 chipset boards were 125W... or if some were only 95W boards.

That would be a good board for using the 970 chipset. The FX-8350 was supported from day one.
