Ryzen X370 BIOS Update still necessary?

Hey Guys, I'm planning on building a new Gaming/editing Rig and I'm planning to get a Ryzen 7 1700 and an X370 mainboard.

Will I still have to update the BIOS or are newer Mainboards shipped with the latest BIOS already installed?
And is it even still necessairy to Update the BIOS or is performance already solid enough?
(excuse my broken english)

  1. If it is a new build, I would always verify that you have the latest BIOS when you start the build. Most of the BIOS updates have been for compatibility with RAM.

  2. Alright, thank you.
The thing is, I'm just a bit concerned about bricking the Mobo. I wouldn't do it if it didn't add much performance wise. I'm planning on using a 16gb 3200mhz Kit (2 DIMMs) btw.

It isn't a performance (well it is if you want to run the RAM at anything beyone 2133) issue it is compatibility issues.

  4. I just completed an X370 build this weekend. I let the BIOS do an update (the ASRock I have can do a network update from within the BIOS).
