960 EVO 250GB NVMe M.2 is slow

Hi,

I have this SSD set up as my boot disk and I can only 2600MB/s seq. read. The benchmarks are done with CrystalDiskMark 5.2.2 and Samsung Magician in Windows 10 pro (High performace and Samsung drivers).
All other values are bad too, write seq, read 4k...

My build is:
- MSI X299 SLI PLUS: ssd is connected to M2_1
- 7820x
- Asus ROG GeForce GTX 1060 Strix Gaming 6GB GDDR5
- Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 PC-24000 CL15: 32GB
- Tacens Mars Gaming Vulcano 750W 80 Plus Silver

Do I have to do some special configuration in the BIOS?

  1. Yes, you have to make sure that the drive is running in PCIe mode instead of SATA.

How can I check if the drive is running in PCIe or SATA mode? I have checked all the MB setting and I cant find it.
