New Headset Not Working On Motherboard Or Sound Card

I have an ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming K6 motherboard and just recently got a Sound Blaster Audigy 5/rx sound card. All of my previous headsets were through usb and worked just fine but since I purchased a sound card I wanted to get a high end headset I could plug directly into that sound card. I purchased the Audio Technica ATH-ADG1X headset and no matter what ports I plug them into, they won't show up in my playback devices and have no sound. I have "show disabled devices" on and all the drivers are up to date. My sound card is listed in playback devices but my headset gets no audio through that. Even when I plug it into the motherboard it does not work. I figure the odds of me overlooking something are much higher than getting a completely defective headset. Any ideas would help.
