Is it possible to overclock my laptop?

the laptop specifically is f70sl from asus. the bios doesnt let me but i heard you can overclock through software, though unfortunately clockgen doesnt work and i dont know and cant find my pll anywhere.
These are the specs if it would help :
f70sl motherboard
intel mobile core 2 duo t7700 2.40 ghz
4gb ddr2 667mhz ram

    You cannot overclock on that laptop and with that CPU.

  2. You shouldnt anyway - laptops cool for $&@! and couldn't keep up with the added heat.

    well to be fair the laptop has a dual cooling system (2 diffrent heatpipes seperated for cpu and gpu)

  4. I understand, but if the system was capable of any reasonable OC the manufacturer would have sold it factory OC'd with a marketing push to be sure everyone would know how awesome their cooling system is. You know?

  5. 2 different heatpipes are not always a good thing. I remember a laptop review where the 2 separate heatpipes performed worse than others with a shared heatpipe.
