Planning to buy a GTX1060 (Computer Noob)

My specs are: GTX950 2GB, i5-6400 2.70GHz. My motherboard is g11cb. Will a GTX1060 work? Will it even fit in my motherboard? Pls help! Edit: I found out that my power supply was (it said both) 300W and 500W is that enough? Edit 2: Do you think this would be a good choice?:

Yes it will absolutely work. It will fit in the same slot as the 950 was in.

  2. Be aware that depending on the model, you might need a 6 pin or 8 pin power connector to power the gpu. Check that your power supply has this.

  3. Agreed with the fella above, also take into consideration the size of the graphics card you looking to install as the 1060 can come in a significantly larger size compared to the 950.

  6. Every card is different - if you look on amazon, the dimensions will be described in the product information at the bottom of the page

  7. It depends entirely on the model you buy. There are mitx cards that are tiny, and full length cards that are longer.
