Longer shutdown time after overclocking ryzen!

Hello guys! I noticed that my shutdown time became longer after overclocking my ryzen 5 1600 at 3.8mhz. Its stable at 1.275volts and memory with docp at 2933. Mobo is Asus b350 prime plus. When everything was stock, it was shutting down almost instantly. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this normal? Any possible solution? Is it because of the overclocked cpu overclocked ram?

  1. Could be there ram. I'm at 3.7 on stock cooling. Mine does great with an SSD. I have the 1600 also btw.

You have stock ram? Or overclocked? You have instant shutdown with the same mobo and 3.7 cpu?

  3. Sorry, I've got the ASRock ab350m pro 4. But I did leave ram at stock settings, even though I only have 2400.

    But I am running the R5 1600.

What kind of drive are you using? Mechanical or SSD? My system especially with my Samsung nvme SSD drive is very quick.

I got Samsung 850 evo, when everything was stock I had instant shut down, after oc ram and cpu I got instant start only, but when I press shut down, the power led in my case stays on for about 15secs even with monitor turned off and then it turns off...
I now got ram at 2933 with docp, shall I make it 2800?

  5. Also, till 2400 is not considered overclock, can you go a bit higher till 2800 or 2933 and tell me if you notice latency at your shut down? Thanks a lot

  6. Wasn't planning to overclock my ram. May just replace it with a faster kit later.
