Acer Aspire AM3410-UR22 help with dimensions
Could somebody tell me the dimensions for the PSU in american dimensions not mm please or a website that could tell me so I can upgrade the supply a lot of people are like what you wanna get and stuff and they beat around the question .
Since it has ATX PSU in there, the standard dimensions are: 5.90551 inches (W) x 3.38583 inches (H) x 5.51181 inches (D).
Though, the ATX PSU depth can vary and PSU can be longer, e.g 6.29921 inches or 7.08661 inches.
For future use, there are plenty of online converters,
like this one: http://www.unitconverters.net/
Yes, you can use longer one. Just keep in mind that with longer one, you have less space at the immediate area where the power cables come out of PSU. With fully wired PSU, that is not an issue but with semi- and fully-modular PSUs, you may have issues connecting modular cables to the PSU thanks to the smaller space.
As i stated above, for ATX PSUs, only depth (length) varies.
Seasonic Focus+ series PSUs have a depth of 5.51181 inches which is considered small for ATX PSUs,
While Seasonic G-series PSUs have a depth of 6.2992125984 inches which is considered as standard size for ATX PSUs,
For big ATX PSU, Seasonic PRIME series is one such PSU line since those are 6.6929133858 inches deep (long),
Biggest ATX PSUs can be up to 8.8582677165 inches deep (long), like Corsair AX1500i,
