Difference between rev 1.0 and rev 2.0 Gigabyte

I bought the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Aorus rev 1.0 and then when I searched on Gigabyte's website they have a rev 2.0 of the same graphics card.
I was curious of what's the difference between them.

  1. They changed something in the cooling solution. Mostly to reduce the coil whine.

I have the Gigabyte 1070 G1 Rev 1.0. It's making a super weird noise whenever i launch a game and it's getting hotter than usual all of a sudden. Is this what Rev 2.0 fixes?

  3. Supposedly yes. But also, use global Vsync. Mine usually had coil whine because the main menu of every game has like 300-2000 fps. Which causes the card to work overtime for no reason. Either enable Vsync on Nvidia control panel in the 3D settings Global, or enable it in your games. You shouldn't experience coil whine except when you are running 200+ fps and I'm sure you don't have a 200 Hz monitor.
