AMD FX 6300 Overclocking Advice

I have been overclocking my AMD FX 6300. I got a stable 4.6 GHz overclock at 1.365v. It hits 10 C thermal margin with Prime 95 blend. Should I increase the voltage to get a higher OC? Is it worth it (Will I see performance boosts)?

Mobo: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo
PSU: Corsair CX430
GPU: GTX 970

I don't think you'll get a much higher overclock at safe temperatures. 10 degrees is already close, and you have to keep in mind that it will probably heat up more while the graphics card is under load such as during gaming.

  2. nope, you are done.ive got the same system with the aura 970 mb and that is the best i have gotten.any more boosting of voltage will produce more heat.what are your actual idle and underload temps?

Reading from ASUS AI Suite II, idle is 39C and load is 65C-70C
