Samsung 960 EVO M2 under-achieving

Just finished up a new system build recently. Everything is good with the new build except for the 960 EVO 256 GB M2 drive. Testing through-put with the Samsung Magician software I am consistently getting around 1700 - 1800 mb/s sequential read speeds which falls significantly short of the 3200 mb/s ceiling for this drive. I have all of the latest bios / drivers / etc. loaded into the system, drive is inserted into the MB M2 slot. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Not sure If I missed something in the BIOS setup or I just got a slow SSD. I will list the system spec's below.

M/B- Asus Prime X370-Pro - Bios rev 0807
CPU- AMD Ryzen 1600x
SSD- Samsung 960 EVO M2 - NVME controller driver 2.2.0.1703
Memory - Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 - 16GB
