What can I do with a MacBook air after a cup of water burned the motherboard

I have a relatively new MacBook Air. Accidentally, I knocked out a cup of water, and the laptop died. The guy in Apple told me it would cost me $700 to fix it. So I just bought a new one. But how can I make the best use of the old one? like keeping some components. Also, how I can extract all my files stored in the old one? Thanks!

What year is it? It's all proprietary junk, the RAM is soldered to the mobo and so is the CPU, so it is pretty much useless. You may be able to get your data off of the proprietary junk SSD with a sata adapter, but you will still need to buy an overpriced, proprietary, junk, unnecessary apple ssd enclosure because apple. I linked a guide below. Sorry for my saltiness it just comes out when I talk apple products.

  2. Its a dead apple product, you cant do anything with it.
You don't buy apple for its ease of repair and its compatibility.

As stated you should be able to get your data off the drive if it is super important. Do you not have files in iCloud?

Yeah, that's a good question. And the answer is no for some of them. Learn the lesson now.
