  1. Playing at 1080p the bottleneck moves from the GPU to the CPU. The i5-4460 will bottleneck a 1070, but not too bad. The bigger problem you have is the cost of the 1070s. Due to mining, the pricing of the 1070s are outrageous. Many are around the $450 range where their MSRP is for $350. I would not pay $450 for a 1070 when a 1080 can be had for $500.

A 1080 will be bottlenecked by a i5 4460 also, but the truth is, at 1080p most CPUs will be bottlenecked a 1080.

If it were me, I would consider the 1060 3gb as their prices have not been impacted by mining. Or I would consider a 1080. I would not purchase a 1070 any time soon.

  2. Well 1070 prices are quite ridiculous right now, so im not sure if a 1070 will be a good buy for you.

It depends on the game and the resolution and refresh rate of your monitor. If you are playing at say 1080p or 1440p 60hz the i5 4460 is not going to bottleneck a 1070. However it may in cpu intensive titles if you have a high refresh rate monitor and are trying to get over 60 frames in your games.

I think a 1060 6gb would be a good fit with your cpu, however 1060 prices are also a bit high at the moment. The RX 580 is another choice from AMD, but the prices for that card are WAY high.

1060 6gb or AMD 580 would be great, but those prices are just too high right now to justify the purchase.

You can find a used 980ti for a cheaper price than the 1060/580 right now and would be a better GPU.

  5. Well the price isnt that much affected, i would say even it didnt affect at all but my country likes to put a little plus to the msrp, i would like to play mafia 3 at high with 60fps 1080p currently i can run it 720p with major stutters entering new areas and such so thats why i asked for advice

You are stuttering at 720p because your CPU cant push the 970. The lower the resolution, the better CPU you need.

Ignoring current pricing, I would go with a 1060 6gb or a 1070 if you can afford it. The 1070 is a fantastic card.
