Computer worked fine for a couple of months now it won't boot

I5 6600k @ 4.6 ghz
Msi z170 sli plus
GTX 1060

This morning, my computer wouldn't boot and a red led next to CPU is glowing on my motherboard. When I boot, my screen will say power saving mode and no activity after that. I tried to boot without ram and same problem. All my fans are turning on and I rechecked all of my connectors. Can anyone help please :(

  1. Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute).

Sadly this didn't change anything. I also tried without any ram sticks connected, and nothing changed. Do you think it's more likely to be a motherboard/ psu/CPU problem?

  3. If possible, try testing different power supply. Or, try RMA-ing both board and CPU.
