My pc crashes everytime i enable XMP, please help.

Hi by default the mhz is set to something around 2200, i dont remember exact figures and id like to set it to 2933, since my ram is 3000mhz and the other choice in the bios was 3200. So id appreciate any help on how i could fix this ty.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 1600
gtx 1050 ti gaming x
corsair vengeance 3000mhz
b350 gaming pro motherboard
550w corsair psu

  4. with ram higher then 2400 you may have to bump the ram voltage.

    how do i do that? and how much should i increase it by?

  6. Just enable xmp, then manually change speed to 2933 instead of 3000, unless you have 4 sticks of ram at which point 2800 or 2666 are max speeds.

    updating the bios worked but the pc went from quiet to lawnmower :D

    in bios or windows? got the latest chipset driver from AMD or mobo maker?
