Is this stable on overclocking and it will help my pc?

I have a
Cpu : AMD A8-6600K (70 to 80 Degress when im playing a game.... i know i f**ked up)
Mobo : F2A68HM-DS2

So im having a problem on csgo which is totally bottlenecking on my gpu (Rx 460 powercolor)
and i ask what cpu should i bought but i think overclocking will help me on this situation? (is it?)
im trying to overclock my cpu and whats the stable overclock on my cpu and is this will help to not bottleneck on my gpu?
Thanks for helping me..

  1. I think your getting thermal throttling as your cpu is overheating I think (can't remember for sure when that cpu throttles but I think its in the high sixties. Monitor your cpu speed (GHz) and see if it drops as the temperature increases, if it does you need better cooling.

  2. Just remembered, download and over drive and monitor your thermal margin. If it hits 0 you will get throttling. You cannot overclock if your cpu is already throttling and there are no good upgrade options for you motherboard.

Do the testing I suggested (monitor Ghz and thermal margin) and let's prove it is thermal throttling due to overheating. Then we can look at fixes.

A cpu upgrade is going to be a major upgrade. Your motherboard limits options to nothing worth upgrading too. To do an upgrade with decent performance boost will require a whole new platform cpu/motherboard/RAM.

If your cpu is thermal throttling then if we resolve that you should see a good boost in performance.

  6. I think your CPU throttles in the high sixties, 65c and above but that's from memory.
