G.Skill Flare X overclocking

Hi everyone. I purchased a Ryzen 1600x with a MSI B350 Gaming Plus motherboard and I'm having trouble overclocking my RAM to 3200mhz. I tried multiple ways to O.C. but every time I save my bios settings and restart the RAM speed still says 2400mhz. Even if I O.C. under 3200mhz it will not take. I'm pretty new to overclocking but I wouldn't say I'm completely dumb about it. I installed the latest AMD chipset drivers and the latest MSI bios and still no luck. I was able to overclock the processor pretty easily. Another thing that's happening is when I do try to O.C. my RAM my processor speed reverts back to default speeds even tho it still says it's overclocked in the bios. When I disable the RAM O.C. the CPU speed goes back to O.C. speeds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Memory can be kind of tricky to overclock with Ryzen. Was the memory you purchased, rated to run 3200? Try using the bclk to bring the core / memory clock up instead of using the preset clocks in the pull down.

As for your other problem.....that's a new one. I'd never heard of anyone having that issue. Have you contacted your motherboard manufacturer?

Someone there may have had the same issue, though.....I don't recall seeing anyone say they had.
