Pc won't post, Boot_device_led stays red

PSU: cooler power 1050W
Motherboard: asus z97-a
CPU: intel i7-4770
RAM: 16GB team elite ddr3 1600
GPU: asus 1060 turbopro
Storage:
intel ssd 530 series 240 GB
Seagate 2TB

Lately my system has refused to POST. At first it would be just turning it off and back on but then it wouldn't past post what so ever. I've tried switching Dimms with the ram modules, swapping the graphics card, using interstates graphics. I've swapped out the hhd and used new sata cables with no luck. I've cleared the cmos with no changes either.
Trying to boot the pc with and without storage devices does not change the state of the boot device led when attempting POST.

All help is much appreciated

  1. Try testing different power supply, if possible. If still no go, CPU, or motherboard, I'd say.
Have you tried clearing the CMOS?

I do have an internal speaker but I just get a single vga detection beep (asus motherboard beep code)

  7. Then board and CPU do work. Try borrowing a RAM module from a friend and testing.
