I'm confused on buying motherboards and cases

Building my first rig here. I have the i7 7700k as the processor, the Gigabye GTX 1080, HyperX Fury 2133 MHz, DDR4 2x 8Gb RAM, WD Blue WD10EZEX as my storage, and Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan as my CPU cooler. I am not able to find any cases or motherboards. With all the specifications and add-ons, it's hard to pick. My main goal is 4K gaming without the worlds most amazing settings or games. I wish the to upgrade my RAM and GPU, possibly CPU some day.

Okay, so just looking at the parts you are using, the easiest recommendation would be just find a z270 board that you like the best. When you get into boards that cost $150-$250, a lot of the difference is the design with some obvious power delivery difference. Specifically I'd recommend the Asus Prime or Strix, or the MSI Gaming edition. All of those hover around $150 and can overclock easily. As for the second part where you say you would like to be able to upgrade, ram and GPU are pretty universal. DDR4 is now in the mainstream and DDR5 won't be around for at least another two years I'd bet. But as for the CPU, you have the highest end and newest generation chip. In the future if you want to upgrade, you basically just have to hope Intel's next line of motherboards are LGA1151 compatible. Otherwise, any upgrade would require a new board.

  2. I have added the Asus TUF Z279 MARK 2, what should I use for the case?
