M.2 adaptor for M key?

Hi all,
Is there an external adapter for M.2 drives with M key?

I've been googling and can't seem to find one. The laptops we have here have M.2 NVMe SSDs with the M key and I need to find an external adapter I can use to get user's data off them.

Thanks

  1. Cool, thanks.

The second one looks like it would be compatible. Do you know if there would be any problem connecting it to the USB on a laptop? The package contents just says "SATA cable" and I can't tell if I would need to order a different cable.

  2. The second one needs to be plugged into a desktop motherboard. Also the SATA connection will only work with the B-Key.

If you need to connect the M-key to a USB port, you will need to use option 1.

Just did some wore research on option 1. Since you have an NVME, it will not work. Sorry.

To recover the data you will need to use the option 2 in a desktop since USB or SATA do not provide enough data lanes to work with NVME.
