Rust Makes My Computer Very Slow

Hey guys. So I have this one problem...
There is this one game called "Rust"
The only way for me to actually be able to play the game is too set the resolution to 1280x1024
and all the in-game settings set to low (Draw distance is 1500) I am able to play on a Barren map at about 60-70 FPS but when I join a Procedural map server it's 30-40 FPS on the lowest settings! Is is my PC? or is it just Rust? Also when I am in-game I sometimes Alt+Tab and it takes forever to get to the desktop and my PC runs very slow and even worse is when I exit the game absolutely nothing responds... I am able to Ctrl+Alt+Del and open Task Manager but i am not able to do anything from there! Like I can't even stop Rust through the task manager, because everything is so slow and it won't let me click on anything. I also get a lot of FPS drops in-game. All of these problems only occur in Rust all of the other games i play are fine (CS:G0, Dead By Daylight, Fallout 4, Hurtworld and more....)

Here are my specs -
MSI GTX 960 2GB GPU
AMD A8-6600K 3.9 GHz CPU
RAM 8GB
EVGA SUPERNOVA 650G2 PSU

PC is running on Windows 10

If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it
Thanks.

Probably the 2GB of VRAM that's causing this, it's not enough.

Rust has also been known for being very poorly optimized. Just wait for an optimization update.
