how will these 2 used workstations perform in games with a new gpu?

So there are 2 workstations that I can buy right now,
A:E5-1620 3.6ghz 10m cache 8gb ddr3 1tb hdd and am going to install a gtx 1050TI 4gb
B:2x E5630 2.53ghz 12m=24m cache 8gb ddr3 1tb hdd and installing a gtx 1050TI 4gb
These are the 2 builds, which performs better at gaming (at 1080p)?
playing these games: GTA V, battlefield 1, Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, CS:GO, Assassin's Creed Syndicate
what fps will i get and at what settings in these games (list them individually please)?

  1. Go with Option A, youd get more FPS in games using one good CPU vs using 2 bad ones.
You would definitely be able to play all 6 of those games at max/high settings at 60 FPS using option A paired with a 1050 Ti at 1080p.
The exact FPS is too difficult to say as there arent many benchmarks of that setup in those exact games, but the E5-1620 is definitely powerful enough to run them all well.

    Good luck, hope this helps.

  2. I have one more question
what will my next upgrade be, as in what's the bottleneck in that workstation, the gpu or the cpu?

The GTX 1050 ti will be the bottleneck in most games, and if you want the best performance for your upgrade you should buy a new GPU. I suggest you wait a couple of months though, until the demand for high-end GPUs in the market dies down and the prices lower.

    Hope this helps, good luck.
