Is This a Good Upgrade?

Is this Ryzen upgrade worth the money?

I know, the 1050 is a bottleneck, but i'm gonna wait it out and deal with the bottleneck for a little while so I can get some more money for a 1060, for when the prices go down.

Yes great build, and will walk all over your old system, infact thats something AMD bragged about at the release of RyZen, they were aiming for 40% higher IPC over there previous CPUs and actually managed 52% gains.

I would never recommend that motherboard though, you can get much better for less, that Gigabyte board was my first RyZen motherboard and to put it simply, I couldnt wait to get rid of it, nothing but problems plus the whole board just felt like a cheap after thought, and a very limited bios, didnt even have LLC in it, the 3rd board I had was the best of the bunch which was an MSI B350m Mortar, completely the other end of the scale, the 2nd board was the ASUS Prime B350m-a and the only thing that really let that board down was the lack on heatsink on the VRMs.

So, simply put, this would be the better motherboard build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sKrqyf
