Asus 99 Deluxe II and two Samsung 960 PRO NVMe drives each running a different OS

I have above motherboard and one of the 960's installed in the motoherboard U2.1 slot is running windows 10 and I can boot up from it. I also installed a Samsung 960 Pro on the Hyper card extension M.2 and wanted to install windows 7 onto this one and then use the two SSD's for storage and backup instead of booting up the OS-anyone know if installing the second NVMe can it be used to boot up windows 7?thanks

  1. It can but windows 7 does not have native NVME support so you need to have the windows 7 driver for your product to do the install.

  2. Is this a PCIe adapter?

If so, does your motherboard support booting from PCIe products?
(if it was capable then you should see an option for that drive in the BIOS' boot section)

Why would you want to have Windows 7 anyway when you have Windows 10?
