Is this RAM compatible with this build?

Hello guys. I am new to building computers and I would like to ask for some help.

I have an i3-530 processor with this memory capacity

I have an emx-ih55m-icafe mobo with this specification

And I have this 1x4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram..

I just bought this RAM and i am not sure if this is compatible with this motherboard but it say it is 1333mhz. When I run my build I get the IRQL Blue screen of Death which mean incompatible hardware or memory issue. I test the ram before i buy in shop and it worked/booted fine.

Can please help me Thank you.

  1. Is your BIOS memory setting running as default/auto? What speed does the BIOS detect the memory as?

  2. My bios speeds are set to auto.

    CPU Frequency: 2.93ghz(133x22)
    QPI Frequency: 2926mhz(133x22)
    DRAM Frequency: 1333mhz(133x10)
    CPU Clock Drive: 800mv

    RAM Timings

    tCL: 9
    tRAS:24
    tRP:9
    tRCD:9

I have tried changing some settings but still i get either an irql or bad pool blue screen. Also tried resetting the CMOS and updated the bios version but still no luck.

  3. Have you tested the memory with a tool like memtest?

When I try to run the bootable memtest my computer just freezes the screen is still on but no response such as keyboard and the values on screen not moving. However when i tried the RAM in another system it booted fine with no problem.

Is it possible that maybe either my RAM or Motherboard is broken? How can i know if which one is broken? They seem to be reading each other fine in the bios but the Blue Screens just wont let it pass the Starting Windows logo.

    Thank you for help.

  5. Have you tried other memory in your system?

Also, try resetting your motherboard to its default settings, with the new memory installed.

I haven't tested other memory in my system yet because i just bought this one but i tested my memory in another system and it can boot properly. I try reset motherboard to default and no changes.

I am still confused if I needed to buy a new memory or just keep the old memory I bought and buy new motherboard.
Can the motherboard cause IRQL Bluescreen?

Seems you do have a compatibility issue, but a rather odd one as that is bog standard DDR3 memory from what I can determine. The memory could certainly be defective.

What was the speed (make/model) of your original memory in this system?

Have you tried, manually, setting memory to a lower speed (like 1066)?
