  1. Yes, it works together.
However, given you're getting Z270 you should get 16GB.
Give me a budget and intended use and i'll sort a list out for you.

Well, thanks for your response!! I'm planning on upgrading my cpu as my current mobo is having some issues, so I will upgrade to an i5 7600k (my current processor is a fx 8350). I'm trying to get the cpu, mobo and ram for about 400~450€ but i could go a bit higher. And yes I have also thought that getting 16 would be the best option. I have seen some gskill ram 2x8gb at 3000mhz maybe that could work? Anyway thank you for all your help!
(Im from Spain if it os needed for the budget)

  3. List your full current specs.
An i7 7700 could be a good value acquisition over the 7700k depending.

I own a r9 290 oc from Sapphire, asrock 990fx extreme3, amd fx 8350, a 750W psu, coolbay sx case, some 2x4gb ddr3 hyperx and that's it pretty much. But my mobo is having vrm problems so i decided to upgrade to the new i5

  5. OS is needed, but do you want that included in the 450 budget?

I have a windows 10 license, so no need to get a new one

Gonna want to stretch it a bit further.
A 7600k list would cost about 20-30 more and perform worse.
