Watch dogs 2, Dead rising 4 crashes pc. I3 4170, asus z97-p, gtx 650 ti 2gb oc

Hello, So recently i've been experiencing identical pc crashes in both of the games (Watch dogs 2, Dead rising 4). WD 2 is on LOW settings, DR4 is on MEDIUM settings. After playing for some time 30 min or more , game suddenly stops, freezes and makes an infinite buzzing sound which makes me force restart my pc as I can't do anything to my pc while the game's frozen (can't pull the game down, open task manager or anything else). Please help, thanks!

SPECS:
GPU : gtx 650 ti 2gb oc (GV-N65TOC-2GI)
CPU: I3 4170 3.7 ghz (with hyperthreading on [4 cpus])
MB: asus z97-p
Ram: 8 gb 1600 mhz

  5. Chieftech makes some pretty bad PSUs. You might want to try another one if you can, but id start there.

You really think that's the problem? I honestly think i have something in my bios settings to shut cpu or smthn off when it gets too much load. But ill try some time later to get a new psu. Though everything else works perfect. Dota on ultra, overwatch on high

  7. The only thing in BIOS even remotely close to that is the threshold you can set for temps. Not load. And it throttles, doesnt shut down I dont believe. Never had one overheat. Neither of those games, CS GO and Overwatch are hard to run. The other 2, are harder to run and tax your hardware more.

Any other solutions? Tbh i don't think PSU's the problem, but i will still check it.

  9. It is acting exactly like a PC with a crappy PSU.
