No Video Output - ASRock AB350 Pro4 | Ryzen 5 1600

Hello all,
I am putting together my first PC build. The specs are:

Installed:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • MOBO: ASRock AB350 Pro4
  • RAM: Team - Dark 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
  • PSU: Corsair TX550M
  • Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R
  • SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

In delivery:
  • GPU: MSI GTX 1060

I was mostly following the AMD Build guide on pcpartpicker.com (the build is different now on the site is different now) and the site says my parts are compatible. The motherboard has an integrated graphics card, so I figured I would go ahead and get my OSs set up while I wait for the GPU to arrive. However, I am not getting any video output. I've tried my best to troubleshoot this but to no avail. Perhaps I just need to wait for my GPU to arrive? I don't know, that is why I am here.

SITREP
I turn on the computer with the switch on the case and all the fans come on. I do not get any video output. The motherboard did not come with a system speaker so I can't use beeps to troubleshoot (although I've just gone ahead and ordered one). The fans remain on until I hit the power switch on the case again.

Ryzen doesn't have integrated graphics mate.
Those integrated video outs are in preparation for the new range of raven ridge apu' s due out this summer.

You won't get a display until you have your 1060 installed.

Ok, so in the MOBO manual where it says "Integrated AMD Radeon R7/R5 Series Graphics in A-series APU", it is saying it will integrate with that APU, not that that APU is on the MOBO?

  3. Exactly mate - the graphics are on the A-series chips not on the board.

On the one hand you cant use your system yet , on then other the build is very likely fine & just needs the GPU to arrive.

So disappointment & relief in equal measure ;-)
