Ryzen 1500x Temperatures - Low or High?!

I built a pc with these parts:

CPU: 1500x (Stock Cooler)
GPU: Gtx 1060 6GB
2 case fans at 1000-1200rpm

I get around 35-45 celsius while using chrome and having some applications running on the background and 60-70 celsius while gaming. I used prime95 to stress the cpu and got around 75-80 celsius. My room temperature is around 22-26. Are these good/normal temps? I raised the cpu cooler for few seconds after I had already installed it on the cpu on accident. I'm worried that it might broke or something!?

  1. nope, those temps are perfectly reasonable. 95+ Celsius is where you should really start to worry

  2. Are you sure? I'm worried and I can't game peacefully cause sometimes the cpu reaches 70 celsius?

  3. An AMD Ryzen 5 1500X should be under 65°C even when overclocked to 3.9GHz and running at full load.

At stock clock and CPU VID at Auto you should see around 61°C at full load.

Okay, so I don't have to re-install it and add new thermal paste. Thanks! I modified the cpu fan curve to be a little higher so I hope that will help a bit.

  6. The CPU is around 65 Celsius. I'm still worried. Should I Re-apply thermal paste?

There are specific cleaning agents you can use, but isopropyl alcohol (couple drops) on a coffee filter and wiping it off should be fine.

  9. I fixed the problem. My case air flow is so bad. I took the front panel of and cpu temps went to 50 celsius while gaming

I have read that it can run pretty hot. AMD processors tend to do that. They say the Wraith cooler works pretty well on it and is the best stock cooler out there. If you get a different cooler, you probably want a blow down one though. In my experience they do tend to work a little better. 65 to 70 degrees though is not dangerous. Once you get over 70 it can get a little dicey depending on the CPU.

  11. i have a AMD Ryzen 1500x with sock cooler and getting 60-65 while gaming on ultra/high, so you peeps on the inter-web are sure its fine?? thanks

  12. also, dont know if you are, but use AMD'S very own "Ryzen master" (download of the official web) - its technically for overclocking but it has a accurate temp reading. (as some 3rd party software is not very accurate with ryzen since it is new)

Just having "chrome and spotify" open is more like running at close to idle. Full load is using all cores and all threads at maximum load. Try running Prime95 or IntelBurnTest utilizing all threads.
