If I use an amd a6 5400k on this motherboard do I have to update the bios?

I am going to put an amd a6 5400k on a spare motherboard (MSI MS-7778 Jasmine) But I dont know if I have to update the bios

  1. That is an HP motherboard. This HP page -- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03343058 says that the CPU you want to install is supported. I would recommend a BIOS upgrade before a CPU upgrade in all cases. It ensures the maximum compatibility.

    I know this is stupid but How do I update bios

    To be honest you shouldn't have to , that's a first gen trinity & should just work straight away

    Help! I've just installed the new cpu with some brand new paste and old oem cooler (cleaned off paste of course) And the pc's turning on and touching the cpu it gets hot so i guess it's working, all fans are working, I tried switching rams and tested all of them 1 by 1 and still not signal! Try other monitors still no signal! Help!!!
